Regional airline Air Southwest is launching a new weekday flights from Aberdeen airport to Devon and Cornwall in South West England.
The service will operate twice a day from Monday, February 28, to Plymouth in Devon and Newquay in Cornwall. Seats are on sale now.
Air Southwest is helping to put Devon and Cornwall on the world map by making its seats available on the global distribution reservations system (GDS) used by travel agents throughout the UK around the world.
Although aimed chiefly at business travellers, the new service puts one of the UK’s most popular holiday destinations in easy reach. Devon and Cornwall are renowned for their stunning scenery, breathtaking beaches and world-class attractions including the Eden Project and Tate St Ives.
Air Southwest commercial director Mike Coombes said: “We expect this new link to be especially popular with business travellers in the marine and energy sectors who often go from one end of the country to another and need the speed and convenience of air travel, rather than spending more than 10 hours on the train. But we also hope it will appeal to anyone considering a short break in Devon and Cornwall, which are great places to visit any time of year.”
Air Southwest’s Devon and Cornwall link from Aberdeen will operate twice a day with morning and late afternoon flights in both directions and is bookable now on www.airsouthwest.com
