Low cost airline bmibaby started direct flights from London Stansted Airport to George Best Belfast City Airport.
Flights for the new route start on 28 March 2011 replacing the route vacated by Ryanair in September.
•Flights operate three times a day Monday to Friday, once on Sunday
•Fares from £19.99 one way including all taxes
•Free allocated seating at check in and generous 22kg checked in luggage allowance
•Customers can also register for bmi Diamond Club – the UK’s most generous frequent flyer programme.
bmibaby move its operation from Belfast International Airport to Belfast City Airport, in a move to offer more convenient services to passengers wishing to travel into Belfast.
The new bmibaby services will add to bmi’s current flights between Belfast City Airport and London Heathrow, meaning that the bmi group will become one of the largest operators from Belfast City Airport.
With up to 9 daily departures to the UK, the low cost airline will offer a convenient morning and evening schedule suitable to both the business and leisure traveller.
“bmibaby will offer great low fares and frequent flights, meaning the new services will work well for both business and leisure travellers looking to fly to regional airports in the UK.”
