Aegean Airlines Athens to Paphos Cyprus

Aegean Airlines adds Paphos to its Cyprus destinations.offer flights between Athens and Paphos 3 times a week. With the addition of Paphos, AEGEAN will fully cover the Cypriot market with 76 flights from Athens and Thessaloniki to/from Larnaca and Paphos, whereas, in July and August, the company will increase its flights to 84 per week by adding flights from Rhodes and Heraklion to Larnaca.

Flights serviced by the 168-seater brand new AIRBUS A320 or by the four-engine 112-seater AVRO RJ100 aircraft. Passengers will be able to choose between a business and economy class. Reservations and tickets will be available at all travel agents, at the Cyprus Reservation Center (22654000), at the Single Reservation Center in Greece 8011120000 and through www.aegeanair.com.

The flight schedule has been designed so that connections with the 17 domestic destinations are both possible - with a minimum waiting time at the airport of Athens - and increase the choice of destinations for Cypriot passengers.

Aegean Airlines flights to London’s Heathrow operated with brand new Airbus A321 aircraft, in two class seating configuration offering a full meal and an in-flight entertainment system with six music channels and a movie to economy class passengers without extra charges. Business class passengers will be able to enjoy improved seat comfort, a choice of meals, as well espresso or cappuccino.

After AEGEAN completes its process of integration and joins Star Alliance June 2010, the company’s goal at Heathrow is to develop partnerships with Star Alliance members such as United, US Airways, Air Canada, and Continental which fly into Heathrow, in order to offer AEGEAN’s passengers improved access to final destinations in North America.

Aegean Airlines New York Athens codeshare flights

Star Alliance partners Continental Airlines and Aegean Airlines start codesharing on Continental's flights between its New York hub, Newark Liberty International Airport , and Athens, as well as on selected flights operated by Aegean Airlines in Europe.

Because both Continental and Aegean Airlines are members of Star Alliance, members of Continental's frequent flyer program, OnePass, and Aegean Airlines' frequent flyer program, Miles & Bonus, are able to earn and redeem mileage anywhere on either airline's global route network. Continental BusinessFirst passengers, OnePass Star Alliance Gold members and Presidents Club members travelling on a same-day Star Alliance member flight are able to access Aegean Airlines Lounges at the flight's departure city, while Aegean Airlines Business Class passengers and Miles & Bonus Star Alliance Gold members are able to access Continental's Presidents Club lounges worldwide prior to departure on a same-day Star Alliance member flight.

Effective August 23, 2010, Continental will place its "CO" code on selected Aegean Airlines-operated flights between Athens and six leading holiday destinations in Greece (Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Rhodes, Mykonos, Santorini, Chania) and between Athens and Larnaca, Cyprus. At a future date to be determined, Continental will also codeshare on Aegean flights between Athens and London/Heathrow, United Kingdom, and Munich and Frankfurt, Germany. Pending government approval, Continental will also codeshare on Aegean flights between Athens and Paris/Charles de Gaulle, France, and Rome/Fiumicino, Italy.

Also effective August 23, 2010, Aegean Airlines place its "A3" code on Continental's flights between New York/Newark and Athens. Aegean will also codeshare on Continental flights from New York/Newark to Paris/Charles de Gaulle and to Rome/Fiumicino.

Continental has been serving Athens since 2007. The airline's flights to New York/Newark are operated with Boeing 767-400ER aircraft with a total of 235 seats – 35 in the award-winning BusinessFirst cabin and 200 in Economy.
