Aegean Airlines service from Berlin to Athens

AEGEAN AIRLINES continues its dynamic course by adding new Greek and International destinations and continuously increasing transport capacity and flown passengers.
Aegean Airlines offers better, more convenient departure times for its service from Berlin to Athens in the summer. The Greek airline’s service departs daily except for Tuesday at 6.50am from Tegel airport and arrives in Athens at 10.30am. The return flight leaves Athens at 8.00pm and touches down in Berlin at 9.50pm. These altered times give visitors to the Greek capital a full day in Athens, both on the day they arrive and the day they depart.

easyJet flights Manchester to Berlin-Schoenefeld airport

The airline easyJet will start nonstop flights from Berlin-Schoenefeld to Manchester five times a week on 3 October 2011. easyJet is the only airline that offers this direct service. The flights to the English city leave on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Bookings are already being taken for the new service.

On weekdays the easyJet plane leaves Berlin at 11.10am and lands in Manchester at 12.25pm local time. On Sundays, the service takes off from Schoenefeld at 4.25pm and it touches down in Manchester at 5.40pm local time. The flights from Manchester start on weekdays at 7.45am and on Sundays at 1.00pm local time. The flight takes two hours and 15 minutes.

In addition to the famous football teams, the city also has an incredibly varied and vibrant music scene, covering all tastes, from opera and classical music to Britpop and punk, and is one of the UK’s most important centres for finance and commerce. The universities are also well worth visiting, as are the many museums, art galleries and theatres. Skyways new service Vilnius to Berlin-Tegel

The Swedish airline Skyways is launching a direct flights from Berlin-Tegel airport to Vilnius starting on 7 June 2011. The service is being operated as a codeshare with Airbaltic and can already be booked through the airline’s booking system. The airline will be flying six times a week from Berlin to the Lithuanian capital and back.

Daily except for Saturday the Embraer ERJ-145 will take off at 3.45pm from Tegel and will touch down again at 6.20pm local time in Vilnius. The return flight leaves Vilnius at 2.45pm and lands in Berlin at 3.15pm. The flight time is one hour and 35 minutes.

The capital city of Lithuania, situated where the Vilna flows into the Neris, was joint European Capital of Culture in 2009 with Linz. There are plenty of attractions to explore and discover in Vilnius, including more than 50 churches, which has gained the city the byname “The Rome of the East”. It is said that from wherever you are in Vilnius you can see at least four church spires. Church spires are not the only landmarks on the city’s skyline: you’ll also see the Europa Tower, the highest skyscraper in the Baltic region, and the 326 metre-high television tower.

Lima Miami direct flights Taca Airlines

TACA PERU launch non-stop passenger service between Miami and Lima, Taca Airlines operate one daily roundtrip flight utilizing an Airbus A320 aircraft with seating capacity for 150 passengers. The airline also offers connections to other destinations such as Buenos Aires and Mendoza (Argentina), Santiago de Chile and Antofagasta (Chile), Asuncion (Paraguay), and Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo (Brazil).

Cathay Pacific HK to Chicago introductory fare

Cathay Pacific will launch daily nonstop passenger service between Hong Kong and Chicago O’Hare International Airport on Sept. 1, 2011. The route will be served by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Chicago will be the airline’s first new American destination since 1998. The carrier currently serves Los Angeles, New York JFK and San Francisco in the United States with more than 50 flights per week. Cathay Pacific offers high quality First-class, business and economy seating and amenities on all passenger flights.
Cathay Pacific flight CX807 ORD HKG will depart Chicago daily at 3:25 p.m. Central and arrive in Hong Kong at 8 p.m. local the next day. Flight CX806 will depart Hong Kong at 11:45 a.m. local time and arrive ORD at 1:45 p.m. Central time the same day.

Book by June 10 and snag a special introductory fare, good for travel from September 1 through November 30.

Cathay Pacific currently employs 16 staff in Chicago. The cargo team has 12 employees while engineering and passenger sales both have two. With the addition of regularly scheduled passenger service, the local team is expected to grow throughout 2011.

Iberia Miami to Barcelona transatlantic service

Iberia’s first transatlantic service from Barcelona with service to MIA beginning on Tuesday, March 29.
Iberia now operates three non-stop flights weekly to Barcelona on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Passengers coming from other U.S destinations, such as Dallas, Houston, Orlando and Tampa can connect to the new route via American Airlines. At Barcelona airport, travelers can link with Iberia Regional / Air Nostrum and Vueling flights to cities such as Bilbao, Majorca, Malaga and Valencia in Spain or Milan, Nice, Paris and Rome in Europe.

The non-stop Miami-Barcelona flight will be the second U.S route inaugurated by Iberia this week as the airline has also started flying this past Monday, March 28, between Los Angeles and Madrid. Iberia now offers three non-stop flights weekly from LAX on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays – with an additional Friday flight from July to September. The aircraft used on these routes will be a 254-seat Airbus A340 300 airplane, with a 36-seat Business Plus section, recently redesigned, that offers 2.20 meters of space for each passenger and seats that recline into horizontal beds.

To promote the new Miami-Barcelona route, Iberia is awarding triple frequent flyer points for tickets booked in iberia.com through May 31st.The 1,800 points obtained flying from Miami to Barcelona are enough to pay for three return Madrid-Barcelona shuttle flights, for two return trips between Madrid and Casablanca, or for one return flight between Madrid and Athens, Istanbul, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Berlin, or other cities in Europe.

Iberia now operates 10 weekly flights from Miami to Spain: apart from this new Miami- Barcelona route, it flies daily from Miami to Madrid. These new routes, together with the overall capacity increase on its flights from Boston, Chicago and New York to the Spanish capital will consolidate the United States as Iberia's most important long-haul market.

The new flights and the overall capacity increase are part of the joint business launched in October last year by Iberia, American Airlines and British Airways for routes over the North Atlantic.

Air Choice One airline provides regional service from Chicago O’Hare to Burlington, Iowa and Decatur, Illinois

American Eagle fly to La Romana Airport Casa de Campo

American Eagle Airlines launch daily nonstop service to the La Romana International Airport (LRM) from Miami International Airport (MIA), beginning April 5. The new service will be operated with 50-seat ERJ-145 jet aircraft.

Chicago Midway to Guadalajara flights Volaris Airlines

Mexico-based carrier Volaris Airlines offer nonstop daily direct flights between Chicago Midway International Airport and Guadalajara International Airport on an Airbus 319 aircraft with seating for 144 passengers.
The daily flight to Guadalajara will depart MDW at 3:05 p.m. and arrive GDL at 7:35 p.m. The flight from GDL will depart at 9:45 a.m. and arrive to MDW Chicago Midway at 1:35 p.m. Volaris will offer connections from Guadalajara to Mexico City and Toluca.

Chicago is the fourth U.S. destination for Volaris Airlines. The carrier also serves Los Angeles, San Jose and Oakland. With the addition of Volaris, Midway now has six passenger airlines providing service to 53 cities.

The Guadalajara-Chicago market is currently only served by Aeromexico, which according to Innovata operates five weekly Boeing 737 flights from Guadalajara to Chicago's O'Hare airport. Chicago O'Hare was also a major market for Mexicana, which suspended operations in August.

Chicago Midway is a major base for Volaris' US partner Southwest Airlines. The two carriers on 1 December implemented a codeshare-like connecting product at Volaris' three existing US gateways - San Jose, Los Angeles and Oakland.

Italy cargo scheduled flights Atlanta to Milan

Italy-based cargo airlines Cargoitalia started scheduled flights to Atlanta on February 3. The two weekly flights between Atlanta and Milan will create about 10 jobs and will have an estimated $15 million economic impact on metro Atlanta.
Cargoitalia is a world-class, all-cargo airline “Atlanta is one of the most important air cargo gateways in the U.S.A., and we consider it a must-have city in our growing network,” said Roberto Gilardoni, Cargoitalia commercial director. “The facilities [in Atlanta] are impressive, and we greatly appreciate the help and support they have shown to their newest guest airline. We have great optimism about our potential in this market.”
Cargoitalia operates a fleet of MD-11 SF all-cargo aircraft based at Milan’s Malpensa Airport. It offers service to destinations in North America, the Middle East and the Far East.

“Cargoitalia’s decision to begin air cargo service to Atlanta furthers our position as one of the world’s premier logistics hubs and centers for supply chain management,” said Bob Pertierra, vice president of supply chain development for the Metro Atlanta Chamber. “This new trade lane enables companies in Atlanta and the Southeastern United States to gain access to even more customers and markets in Italy and Europe.”

Air cargo continues to grow at Hartsfield-Jackson. According to Airport data, air cargo
increased by more than 18 percent from 2009 to 2010.
Cargoitalia is the 15th all-cargo airline to serve Hartsfield-Jackson and the region. Other cargo carriers to begin operating in Atlanta recently are Asiana Airlines, which began cargo service in September 2010, and Singapore Airlines Cargo, which began scheduled service to Atlanta in September 2009.
Hartsfield-Jackson offers a geographically desirable location for cargo carriers and freight forwarders that want to expand their global networks with lower operating costs. Companies readily can connect with air, road and railway transportation systems in Atlanta.
