Frontier unaccompanied minors extra fee

In order to insure your child is given the best possible service while traveling alone, Frontier requires strict adherence to the eligibility and reservation rules stated below.
Eligibility Requirements
Frontier Airlines designates children from ages 5 - 14 as unaccompanied minors when traveling without a parent, guardian, or companion of at least 15 years of age.
Children under five years of age are not accepted unless accompanied by an adult on any Frontier flight.
Unaccompanied minors may travel on connecting flights, except when the connecting flight is the last flight of the day.
Unaccompanied minors are not accepted on flights to/from San Jose, Costa Rica.
Children ages 15 - 17 are defined as adults and may travel without restriction at the option of the parent or guardian. Use the "Adult" option on the booking page for children ages 15 - 17 who do NOT require an escort.
Children ages 15 - 17 traveling alone will need to present one of the following: A photo ID issued by a government authority, or be accompanied by an adult with photo ID issued by a government authority.
Children ages 15 - 17 may also receive the benefits of an unaccompanied minor if the parent or guardian requests special supervision. The rules listed above for unaccompanied minors need to be followed. When making online reservations for children ages 15 - 17, use the "Child" option on the booking page. The service fee listed below will apply.

extra fee
Children traveling as unaccompanied minors pay a full adult fare.
An additional service charge of $50 per flight, applies to cover the extra handling required when an unaccompanied child travels. The charge applies for each separate flight. So a connecting flight would be $100 one way. This charge is NOT reflected in the online fare quoted. The service charge is collected at the first point of airport check-in
Example of Service Charge Calculation: A 10 year-old unaccompanied minor is traveling from Los Angeles to Denver and return. The entire service charge amount of $100 should be paid at the Los Angeles ticket counter. However, if necessary, the one-way service charge of $50 can be collected at the Los Angeles ticket counter and the return service charge of $50 can be collected at the Denver ticket counter.

A 9 year-old unaccompanied minor is traveling from Detroit to Phoenix with a stop in Denver and return. The entire service charge amount of $200 should be paid at the Detroit ticket counter. However, if necessary, the one-way service charge of $100 can be collected at the Detroit ticket counter and the return service charge of $100 can be collected at the Phoenix ticket counter.

In Flight
Once boarding announcements are made, a Frontier representative will escort the child onboard the aircraft, assist them with any carry-on luggage, as well as introduce the crew to the child. During the flight, the child will receive complimentary DIRECTV®, as well as a personal escort from the aircraft to the designated pick-up party. Snacks may be provided to the unaccompanied child. Snacks may contain nuts, soy, wheat, dairy, or egg. Snack items are packaged in a facility that processes peanuts and other nuts.

Arriving Flight
Only the person listed on the unaccompanied minor's form as the designated recipient of the child may pick up the child. The individual picking up the child must go to the airport ticket counter and advise the agent they are meeting an unaccompanied minor. A pass will need to be obtained from the agent to get through airport security. The individual picking up the child may only then proceed to the gate. A government-issued photo ID will need to be shown to the Frontier representative before Frontier will release the child into the meeting party's custody.

book us airways choice seats on travelocity

Travelocity has signed a multi-year agreement with US Airways and will continue to offer the airline’s full range of content through all of its channels including Travelocity.com, Travelocity Business, Travelocity Partner Network and Travelocity.ca. US Airways will offer its fares, flight information and ancillary services to Travelocity through the Sabre global distribution system.
As part of the deal, Travelocity and US Airways have committed to working together on the marketing and sale of ancillary services, such as Choice Seats, to Travelocity customers. Choice Seats offers customers the opportunity to purchase window or aisle seats toward the front of the Coach class cabin. Choice Seats have the same leg room as other seats, but are closer to the front of the plane – so you’re among the first to get on when you board (with Zone 2) and among the first to leave when you land.

"customers can book us Airways Choice Seats on Travelocity" said Noreen Henry, senior vice president, global partner services, Travelocity. "This agreement also demonstrates our commitment to working with our airline partners to provide the new airline products that consumers want."

A little more than a month ago, Expedia, too, signed a full-content agreement with US Airways, noting it was working with Sabre, which powers Expedia.com, to implement the airline’s Choice Seats.

In an email to travel agencies March 1 announcing the US Airways agreement, Sabre noted that it has a “direct-connect” with US Airways “for interactive, pre-reserved seats and frequent travel number verification.”

Travelocity opaque hotel deals search

Travelocity’s Top Secret Hotels offer an easy way to shop hotels and find unpublished rates that are up to 45 percent off three- and four-star hotels.
Travelocity is the first major online travel site to offer unpublished (or “opaque”) hotel deals and regular hotel rates all in one search window, without the hassle of bidding. with approximately 20 to 30 percent of online hotel bookers now seeking out opaque hotels.
So what is the secret? With Top Secret Hotels, Travelocity is able to offer consumers deeply-discounted rates at top hotels by not naming the exact hotel until the booking is complete. Before making the booking, consumers see the hotel’s star rating and general location, and, unlike other major opaque sites, Travelocity’s Top Secret Hotels shows what other travelers think about a hotel, with user ratings on 10 key details of the hotel, such as cleanliness, location, staff and service, room quality and more. Travelocity also shows the hotel’s specific amenities such as pool, courtesy breakfast, non-smoking, high-speed Internet and shuttle service.

Possibly best of all -- like all bookings on Travelocity, Top Secret Hotels bookings are backed by the Travelocity Service Guarantee.

We are giving consumers one easy place to find great hotel deals, regardless of the type of trip they are taking, including a stress-free, bidding-free option for finding unpublished hotel deals that are backed by the Travelocity Service Guarantee.”
How to Find opaque hotel Deals
When customers search for hotels in a destination, they will see the available hotels by name, and depending on availability, can simply click on the Top Secret Hotels tab above the general hotel listings that allows them to view unpublished rates at participating hotel properties. Or, they can search only the thousands of available Top Secret Hotels by using the checkbox located on the main Hotels tab on Travelocity.
