summer timetable of flights from Geneva Airport

The summer timetable of flights from Geneva International Airport is marked by the arrival of two new airlines. Gulf Air will be making three flights a week to Bahrain airport from 29 March 2011, while Emirates is inaugurating a new route to Dubai, with one flight a day from 1 June 2011.

SWISS is increasing the frequency of its flights to Athens and Barcelona (+1 flight a day) and Madrid (+2 flights a day - a new SWISS destination). Edelweiss will be making a weekly flight to Santorini (new destination).
These new routes come in addition to the flights added by Etihad Airways: the two extra flights a week to Abu Dhabi will henceforth enable a daily service.
Qatar Airways will also be moving up to a daily service to Doha by adding two flights a week.In further news, Aeroflot will now be flying to Moscow Sheremetevo twice a day (+1), El Al flies 5 times a week to Tel Aviv (+2 flights a week), KLM flies six times a day to Amsterdam (+1 flight a day), and Lot Polish Airlines flies 10 times a week to Warsaw (+3 flights a week).
Only five other European airports (all major hubs) are served simultaneously by these four Gulf-based airlines. With this very extensive range of offers relative to its catchment area, Geneva International Airport offers its passengers new destinations for business and tourist travel. Geneva is particularly well connected directly to airports in the East that are all hubs for onward travel to Asia.
easyJet is increasing the frequency of its flights to Mykonos (+2 flights a week), Santiago de Compostela (+3 flights a week - a new easyJet destination), Barcelona, Berlin Schönfeld, Lisbon, Madrid, Porto, Rome Fiumicino (+1 flight a day) and Ajaccio (+2 flights a week - a new easyJet destination).
Darwin Airline’s takeover of Baboo’s operations has prompted the former Geneva-based airline to drop its services to Athens, Bordeaux and Toulouse, Rome Fiumicino, Figari, Bucharest and London City. Baboo has added one flight a day to Nice, however, bringing the total to three.
