the JFK-AMM service end effective June 1, 2011.
delta airlines direct flights to Amman launched in June 2008.

the airline said With continued weak demand and fuel prices steadily increasing, Delta anticipates it will spend $3 billion more this year on jet fuel. Delta will be contacting customers with nonstop travel planned between the U.S. and Amman after June 1 to provide reaccommodation via Paris, and to customers traveling between the U.S. and Cairo to be reaccommodated on flights via Paris and Amsterdam. Affected customers can reschedule their travel without penalties or fees and may request a refund if their flight has been cancelled.
